Installation of ZINC in Avolta’s Pilot Store at Madrid-Barajas Airport

On 5 March, we successfully installed our ZINC software at Avolta’s pilot store in Terminal 2 of Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport. This implementation marks an important step in our collaboration with Avolta, one of the world’s leading airport duty-free retailers.

Avolta operates multiple stores across the different terminals at Madrid-Barajas Airport. With this new installation, we aim to optimise the passenger shopping experience, making it more efficient and accessible.

Interface Redesign for an Optimised User Experience

The project focused on adapting our self-checkout (SCO) software to the needs of the airport environment. Together with the Avolta team, we redesigned the user interface to deliver a seamless and intuitive experience for passengers.

One of the key highlights of this redesign was enhancing how shop staff support customers. We implemented an optimised staff assistance menu that simplifies the monitoring and management of sales in the self-checkout system, boosting operational efficiency.

Our collaboration with Avolta continues to move forward with the goal of continuously enhancing customer service in airport duty-free stores.
